Photoelectric sensing and precision ruling are the main technical base for developing precision rotary platform with digital display.Its basic principle,structural demands,functions,engineer testing and accuracy measuring are introduced in detail in the paper.The prototype series shows that its accuracy and performance have basically reached or exceeded the grade one standards issued by the Ministry of Machinery.
