Preface

Restoration of Aquatic Macrophytes and Establishment of an Artificial Compound Ecosystem of Elodea-Grass Carp Pen Farming are parts of the major application program, Sea Bay and Lake Farming and Their Ecological Regulation Technology, of the eighth five-year-plan of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This project was carried out in Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and supervised by Prof. Zhu Songquan. The study was successfully completed according to the requirements of the contract after five years study by more than ten scientists.
