勺鸡（Ｐｕｃｒａｓｉａ ｍａｃｒｏｌｏｐｈａ）雏鸟初级飞羽７枚，次级飞羽８枚，小翼羽２枚，其余逐次长出。 翼羽的脱换与雉族其它鸟类相似，而尾羽的脱换顺序比较特殊，兼有雉族和鹑族的特点。

On the basis of our work in the previous years, we have made a carefful observation and study on the molting of the artificial hatched and demesticated Koklas chicks in 1995. The newly-born chick has 7 primarise, 8 secondaries, 2 alulas. Other flying feathers come out successively. When the weight reaches 65g, the 16 rectrices appear; when over 100g, the molt process begins. Observations on the sequence of molting and the birds' behavior development have been made at the same time.
