摘要
目前,ATM作为一种新的基于信元的传输和交换技术.已被ITU—T选定为实现BISDN的最终转移模式.文章针对BISDN网络中所存在的具有各种特性的业务源,提出了业务建模的基本方法及作为业务模型选择标准的一个理想模型所应具备的特点.进而,系统地分析和总结了当前在ATM网络分析和模拟中所使用的典型业务模型的主要特性.
Currently, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) as a new, cell based, transport and switching technology has been chosen as the final transfer mode for implementing BISDN. With regard to the particular traffic sources within the BISDN networks, this paper proposes a basic approach to ATM traffic modeling and the properties of an ideal traffic model as a standard of model selection. Furthermore, they systematically analyze and summarize main properties of various typical traffic models available in the analysis and simulation of the ATM networks.
