Integration of IPX and TCP/IP Protocols in Campus Network

用于Internet的TCP/IP协议和基于Novell局域网的IPX协议是当前主要的两种网络协议,文中分析了TCP/IP和IPX两个网络协议在校园网中的应用情况及其共存的必要性,并对两种协议在校园网中的集成方法进行了讨论,介绍了基于Netware服务器和网关软件的多协议集成方案.

TCP/IP and IPX are two main network protocols which are used in Internet and Novell LANa respectively. In this paper, the application of two network protocols and the necessity to integrate TCP/IP and IPX protocols in a campus network are introduced. Then, the integration method of the two protocols is discussed. Finally, two integration schemes based on Netware Servers and Gateway Software are introduced in detail.
