The changes of endogenous hormone(IAA、Zt) in the development of embryogenic callus and somatic embryoids of rye have been showed by means of ELISA. In the transformation from nonembryogenic to embryogenic callus, Zt seems to play an important role. In addition, high level IAA is necessary to further growth and development of somatic embryoids.
