今年是重庆开始"九五"计划的第一年,也是向2010年长远目标进军的第一年。为了把重庆建设成长江上游的经济中心,到2010年初步建成经济发达、社会文明、生活富裕、环境优美、国际合作交流广泛的城市,各方面都召开了一系列会议,对当前工作和长远规划进行部署。本刊将市委、市政府、市人大、市政协主要领导在这些部署中的讲话摘录部份作为专文刊出,以便海内外读者加深对重庆的认识和了解。
