摘要
The last contingent of Japanese war orphans remaining in China departed Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province, for Tokyo on June 13, 1996. Members of the group, the youngest of whom are now well into their fifties, are the offspring of Japanese civilians who settled in northeastern China fallowing the Japanese invasion in World War Ⅱ. The orphans were raised by Chinese foster parents.
