Anhui,located in the hinterland of EastChina,is an area of transition from thesoutheast coastal areas to the hinterlandof China.Along with its rich natural resourcesof coal,iron,copper,sulphur and limestonethat are among some of the biggest depositsin China,Anhui also ranks among the 10richest provinces and regions nationwide forits output of grain,cotton,oils,silkwormcocoon,fruit,Chinese medicinal herbs,tea,pork,beef and sheep.Anhui is famous for itsscenic spots of the Mount Huangshan,MountJiuhua,Mount Tianju,Mount Qiyun andancient residential districts in Huizhou.So ithas become an important production base inChina for its energy,raw materials andagricultural by-products production andtourism.
