Purpose of this study was to observe the effects of four weeks high-intensity exercise on T-lymphocyte subsets and natural killer cell activity. Six elite female bicycle players undertook this test. T-lymphocyte subsets was detected by flow cytometry and NKCA was assessed by the LDH release assay. The results showed that after four weeks high- intensity exercise the percentage of CD8+cell was significantly increased, the ration of CD4 + /CD8+ was significantly lower in post-exercise than in preexercise. NKCA was significantly decreased. These results Suggest that high-intensity exercise possibly disturbed immune function and increase the susceptibility to infections.
