The paper summarizes the teaching practice of ESOB(elective speciality of basketball)and thinks that the improvement of ESOB is based on Poplarisation.The paper also presents the problems existing in ESOB, which restrains the improvement of teaching and learning effects. In the meanwhile, the paper put forward that ESOB should be accomplished in the combination of“earning in movement”and“practice in Change”so as to break away from the traditional and regular teaching pattern.These are some good attempts to improve learning and teaching effects of ESOB.
