The paper expounds the problems concerned with the manufacture and the super-vision of the steel girders of the Jiujiang Changjiang-bridge,In this great bridge,new materi-als,new technology and new structure of bridge style are comprehensively applied. with bigdifficulties and newly developed techonolgy,the manufacture and building of this bridge indi-cates that the technique of building bridges of our country has steppd on a new stage.Thepractical procedure and the experiences of this engineering project are systematically andthoroughly sunmmarized in this paper.
