本文通过对东北区地理位置、经济基础和所面临的问题的分析，论述了图们江地区开发和东北区经济发展关系，阐明了图们江地区开发对东北区经济发展的重要性。

By analyzing the geographical lacation. econommic base and faced problems in Northeast region, this author discussed the relation between the development of Tumen River Area and that of Northeast region. It shows that the development of Tumen River Area is important for Northeast region.
