传统的控制方法都是基于数学模型和单模式控制．但是对参数不确定和结构不确定等复杂的系统来说，用传统的控制方法很难得到满意的效果，从而促使发展变结构控制理论与智能控制理论．近来在实际应用中，又把这两种方法有机地结合在一起这里讨论的多模态智能控制就是其中之一，这种方法也适应于可确定性系统．

All of the traditional control methods are based on mathematical model and single structure control. But because of the parametical uncertainties and structural uncertainties,the traditional control methods are not satisfactary. This impels the study on variable structure control thoery and intellgent control thoery. Rerently these two control methods are combined together in the practical application. The multiple-mode intelligent controller discussed here is a product of this combination
