摘要 It is well known that Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressively degenerative disease that attackes the brain and results in impaired memory, thinking and behavior. It affects about 2.5 million American adults. However, massive surveys have only been done in the industrialized countries. In the developing countries, including China, the exact AD prevalence for the population aged over 55 is still a moot question, The aim of this study is to answer this question and to determine whether there is an association between AD and age, sex, cultural level, occupation and marital status.
