Chinese caterpillar fungus, according to Chinese medicinal classics, is good for the lungs and kidneys and can stop bleeding and coughing. Modern science has proved that it contains Dmannitol and other elements with an immunizing effect, thus increasing one’s physical endurance, resistance to a lack of oxygen and the reduction of cholesterol. After several years’ effort, the Jinkang Biological Engineering Corporation developed various types of Jingyuan Brand Congcaobao, an oral vial, from live Chinese caterpillar fungus obtained from the Qingzang Plateau.
