Overshadowed by the sweeping depression in the real estate industry, the Shenzhen Wanke Enterprise Co. Ltd., operating mainly in the real estate business, readjusted its operational policy to redress the relation between supply and demand in society, and has achieved great success. In 1994, its gains from principal business were 13.23 percent higher than in the previous year and its after-tax profits increased by 13.01 percent over the preceeding year.
