The morphology of the solid-liquid interface of unidirectional solidifiedFeC eutectic is investigated. It is observed that the transform of this interface fromstability to instability is gradual, not interrupted. The stability criterion fur solidifiedinterface and branching of unidirectional solid-liquid Fe-C eutectic alloy is calculatedand discussed by using computer and M-S theory, and the experimental reeults aregiven for comparisun.
