摘要
Investigation results regarding three kinds of sandstones of different ages, geneses and composihons are given in this article The experiments were carried out in the St-Petersburg Milling Institute with the usage of a shear box. The influences of basic facts defining the angle of internal friction and cohesion are shown .The results of inveshgations made it possible to determine the angles of internal friction for any given moisture contents and density. Reliability and natural strength are the main factors for evaluation in design and engineering conduction.
