摘要 The crystal structure or the title compound 4, synthesized from benzoyl ketene dimethylthio acetal 3 and mercaptoethanol under basic condition. shows it has Z-configuration. This result supports that the formation of 4 is controlled by the stereoelectronic effects and 6 is the key intermediate.
