Abstract In order to irnprove the operation technology of the weather modification , the specific FJY-34 airborneflare ' JD933 range lengthened flare-shell , and HJY-74 flare rocket have been developed under reviewing themost advanced technological achievement in the world and in cooperation with some institutions. The flare-shell hasbeen checked in the cloud chamber with live shell. The specification , experiment method , results ,and main consideration have been given in this report.Weather modification is a sophisticated technique. The targeting of seeding, the delivery of seeding a-gent, and the analysis of the effects have to be done well. The key respect is the delivery of seeding agent.The effective result can only be obtained from carefully analyzing cloud conditions and delivering properamount of seeding agent to the proper portion of the cloud at the proper time period. The new seeding facilityshould satisfy this consideration, and should have high efficiency (including nucleating efficiency and thecloud-water conversion efficiency) and benefit as well. The security and noncontamination are the other fac-tors to be considered.
