本文在现代林业这一概念的确切定义的基础上,给出了可持续林业概念的界定.并认为,将可持续发展的思想引入林业,不是对传统森林永续利用思想的否定,而是在更高层次上对林业的认识.此外,本文以林业和发展,可持续林业和可持续发展的概念为基础,进一步阐明了可持续林业与可持续发展的关系.认为可持续发展是可持续林业的目标,而可持续林业是可持续发展的具体手段和实现可持续发展的一个方面.由此将可持续林业纳入了可持续发展的统一框架.

After clarifying the concept of modern forestry,this paper proposes a definition for sustainable forestry,and pays particular attention to differences between sustainable forestry and sustained yield.Based on the concepts of forestry and development,sustainable forestry and sustainable development,this paper sets forth the relationship between sustainable forestry and sustainable development,and points out sustainable development is the destination of sustainable forestry,and sustainable forestry is one of the measures and components of sustainable development.
