森林火源管理信息系统(Management Information System of Forest Fire Origins,MISOF-FO)是综合森林防火管理理论、信息论、系统工程学、数理统计学和计算机科学等多元学科的系统性研究开发的一个计算机管理信息系统.它能够利用所得到的有关森林火源的各种数据,(1)预测未来某一地区区域范围近期内高频率出现的森林火源因子及其发生规律;(2)对这些森林火源因子的监控和管理对策的制定提供一定的科学依据;(3)是帮助各级森林防火机构最大限度地实现森林火源管理目标的重要手段.

The Management Information System of Forest Fire Origins(MISOFFO)is controlled by computer which is the combination of the sciences of forest firebreak manage- ment,information theory,system engineering,mathematical statistics and computer in a sys- tematic way.On the basis of data derived from forest origins,it is concerned with the short- term forecast of the frequency of occurrence and behaviour of factors of fire origins in a given area.It lays scientific foundation for control of the factors of forest origins and management countermeasures.It can be employed as a important tool to help forest firebreak authorities at all levels with achievement of fire origins management to the full extent.
