Before starting the treatment, the rostral and caudalperts of herpes zoster were differentiated.Tapping with aplum-blossum needle was employed in a shape of ring fromthe restral to caudal region, and from the outside to the in-side. Forceful tapping was applied for the Patients with se-vere fever, strong body constitution, long course and largeaffected areas, but light tapping for those with severedampness and heat, weak body constitution, short courseand small affected areas.The treatment was employedonce every day for 5- 10 minutes. Of the 520 Cases treated, 517 cases were cured (99.4%), and 3 cases markedly improved (0.6%). The total effective rate was100 %.
