This peper deals with the effect of organochlorirnated pesticides (DDT)on thehypocotyl sprouting and some relative eco-physiological reaction of Kandelia candel( L.)Druceseedling.The results were as follows:10 μg/L DDT played an improvement significantiy to the budgrowth of Kandelia caudel and its first pair of leaves unfolded from the stem, but over 100 μg/L,DDTplayed a little inhibition or no significant. DDT 10 μg/L~1000 μg/L to the transpiration of K. can-del seedling appeared as little inhibition, and the electrolyte leakage rate of the leaves euhance with theDDT concentration increase,The embryo vigour in DDT 10~10 000 μg/L had some stimulation.
