佤族医药起源及其发展

The Oringin and Development of Wa Medicine

佤族是我国云南省一个古老的土著民族。主要聚居于滇南及滇西南部的几个边陲县,即今西盟、沧源、耿马、双江、镇康、永德、澜沧、孟连等地,其人口约30余万。由于地处偏僻地区,交通闭塞,经济文化极为落后,解放前中西医基本没有传入该地区。千百年来佤族人民在长期的生产、生活实践中靠本民族的医药和一些简单而行之有效的治疗方法与疾病作斗争,积累了丰富的医药知识,形成了本民族的一套行医用药经验。为其生存和代代繁衍起了重要的作用。为整理和挖掘佤族民间医药宝库,笔者对该民族医药进行了多年调查、访问、收集,对该民族民间用药经验和用药特点进行了初步整理、总结。在此谨以佤族医药的起源和发展汇报与同仁参考。

Wa is a native tribe with long histry in Yunnan Province, P. R. China, and mainly lives in a remote mountains district of Southwest Part of Yunnan Province, with a population of about 3,000,00. Wa has its own language but has no writing system. Throuthout their history, the people have accumulated aboundant therapeatical agents and remedinal measures by using native plants, animal as well as other material at hand. These medical knowledge has been passed on by the methods of verbal instruction and personal examples from generation to generation.Based on many years inverstigation and research works together with the analysis of folklore and myth, the outline of the orin gin and development of Wa medicine is geven in this paper.In this paper, the following knowledge including the therapeatical agents, remedinal measures, diagnosis methods as well as unique methods used by Wa folk medical man are also collected and sorted out and the results is given by the auther.
