THE front gate of the Xin-guang Theatre in Hongkongwas crowded with peopleand baskets of flowers.The Shan-dong L(?) Opera Troupe had just fin-ished its performances of Borrowinga Wife ana Exchange Husbands as partof the 1990 Chinese Local OperaFestival.Many L(?) opera fans camefrom Macao,Taiwan and SoutheastAsian countries to watch their per-formances.
