摘要
在英国,有许多关于教育和训练课程方面的新思想,但是透过具体细节,都隐含着教育的目的一一即学校教育的目标及其体现出的价值。这才是本文要讨论的症结所在。为此本文将:1.指出教育所面临的批评;2.指出一些针对批评而进行的容易引起混乱的安排;3.指出根据教育目的而提出的更深刻、更富哲学含义的问题。
There have been many initiatives which have aimed at meeting criticisms of edu- cation and training in Britain and I shall be referring to th(?)m.But beneath the prac- tical details of new ccurses and changed curriculum are deeper issues about the ajm of education-that is,the purposes which schools should serve and the values which they should embody.It is that aspect of a larger debate that this paper will focus u- pon. This paper goes as following: 1.identify the criticisms which the education system is a response to; 2.identify the confusing arrangements emerging to meet those criticisms; 3.identify the deeper,more philosophical questions need that to be addressed concerning the aims of education.
