The first part treats his apprenticeship and growth in creation, focusing on his daring probes and pioneer spirit, and at the same time gives a sketch of his writing characteristics as a whole. The second part concenentrates on williams' master-piece 《paterson》 and by analysing it, further expounds williams' theory and ideas guiding his creation.
