This paper analysed the conditions of a thin and long pressed ba which was fixed at one end and-supported in the middle.And then the trans cendent function was derived.This made the determination of the length coef ficient μ by a computer very easy.Thus the calculation of the critically pressed load on the bar would be convenient.
