湖北郧西地区石炭纪地层组的划分

STRATIGRAPHIC FORMATIONAL DIVISION OF THE CARBONIFEROUS PERIOD IN YUNXI COUNTY OF HUBEI PROVINCE

湖北郧西地区的石炭纪地层分为两个统,五个组:下石炭统下部袁家沟组,上部庙川组和范家坪组。庙川组是本文新建组名,与范家坪组在区域上呈相变关系。上石炭统下部称泗峡口组,重新定义了泗峡口组的含义。上石炭统上部为羊山组。各组的时代归属问题,文中也作了适当的讨论。

The Carboniferous strata in Yunxi county, Hubei province can be divided into two series and five formations. The lower part of the Lower Carboniferous Series is Yuanjiagou Formation. The upper part of the Lower Carboniferous Series is Miaochuan Formation and Fanjiaping Formation. Miaochuan For-mation which is newly established in this paper has a facies change relation with Fanjiaping Formation regionally. The lower part of the Upper Carboniferous Series is called Sixiakou Formation whose defini-tion differs from its previous one. The upper part of the Upper Carboniferous Series is Yangshan For-mation. The authors also discuss the geologic age of the Formations in this paper.
