Deepen the Reform and Better the Service for Readers

高校图书馆的深化改革,必须改善读者服务工作。要按学科内容划分藏书,建立全开架、藏阅合一、书刊合一的专科阅览室及教学指定参考书室;改变服务方式,最大限度地满足读者的要求,并面向社会、为社会服务。

The service for readers should be bettered for deepening the reform carried out in university libraries. On one hand, the whole collection of books ought to be catalogued according to subjectsand readingroom be built with open-shelf where readers can read the collection. Such readingrooms should be made available in which magazines and books are kept together.There should also be special rooms for designated reference books. On the other hand, service is to be improved to fully satisfy the demands of readers. Taking into consideration the interest of society, university library must do its best to serve society
