第四纪地质图编制若干问题的探讨

A DISCUSSIION ON THE COMPILATION OF QUARTERNARY GEOLOGICAL MAP

传统的第四纪地质图,实质是第四纪沉积物成因类型图。第四纪地质图的编制原则应当与普通地质图一样,根据地层划分,突出地层,而不是根据沉积物成因类型划分,突出成因类型。第四纪地质图所反映的基本内容应扩大其信息量,为读者追溯第四纪地质发展、演化提供概念模型。为此,需要采用"四维(x,y,z,t)"表示方法。在图例设计方面要遵循通用化和科学化原则。后面附有安徽省第四纪地质图图例设计实例。

The traditional Quarternary geological map is, in reality, a reflection of genetic types of Quarternary sediments other than the stratigraphio units used for the compilation of common geological maps. For this , its contents should be enriched and four—dimensional (x, y, z, t) expression method employed to provide a clear concept of the Quarternary evolution al process of geology. And a general and scientific principle must be followed in the design of legends.
