With the development of science and technologythe application field of scandium and its compoundshas been increasingly extending.Up to now it has beensuccessfully used in GSGG(Gd<sub>3</sub>Sc<sub>2</sub>Ga<sub>3</sub>O<sub>12</sub>),metalhalide lamps,electron guns of color television cathode-ray tubes,computer circuits,superconductors etc..
