Guangdong Province is rich in RE resourceswhere perspective reserves of ion-adsorption rareearth ranks first in China,according to the up-to-date report from the Geological Bureau of theprovince.For a long time.however,Guangdong’sRE industry developed slowly for it had only fourRE smelters processing monazite concentrate until1986,and most of RE products were primary ones,and only seabeach placers were mined for monaziteand xenotime.
