This paper concerns the experience in the use of a steelconcrete artificial island located at shallow water areas of Bohai Bay. It is an island distinctive of Chinese characteristics and suitable to the chinese off shore environments and gas/oil fields. The design and construction of the island are presented in brief in the paper.
