Development and History:The Way Out of the Plight of Chinese-style Architecture

中国式建筑的困境在于附加意识形态性的起源和前因后果的关系倒置。近现代建筑进入中国后，曾经保持着与世界的同步发展，直至20世纪50年代初。中国式建筑是伴随着中西古今之争而产生的命题，建筑被赋予了意识形态的内容。在全球化背景下，重新认识中国式建筑产生和发展的局限性，其实质在于混淆了现代化与西方化之区别，将现代化等同于西方化、全球化等同于单一化。同时，“创新”目标又将现代与传统视为新旧对立。中国建筑的任务是现代性问题，即建筑现代化，而不是中国的现代化建筑，重点应放在后者（即如何实现现代化上）；后者是前者的结果，而不是原因。

Modern architecture introduced into China had been maintained the simultaneous development pace with world till the early 1950s. The concept of Chinese-style architecture was established with the dispute of Chinese-western and ancient-modem, and architecture was given the ideological content. Therefore, the dilemma of Chinese-style architecture is out of the additional origins of ideology and the inversion of causality. In the context of globalization, the limitations of the emergence and development of the Chi- nese-style architecture lie in the essence of confusing the distinction between modernization and westernization, equating the modem with the west, and globalization with simplifica6on. Meanwhile, the ＂innovation＂ target turns modernity opposite to tradition, as well as old to new. The task of Chinese architecture is the realization of modernization, namely modernization of architecture, rather than modemizational architecture of China. The focus should be on the latter,which is the result of the former,but not the cause.
