摘要 1 Introduction That molecular properties depend on its structure is one of the central ideas of chemistry. As a first order approximation, topological structure, that is. the atomic constitution and its linkage in a molecule, may be taken into account. It has been known for a long time to the chemists, that more quantitative expressions of them, which are now so-called molecular topological indices, however, were not fully developed until recently.
