Mountain sickness is a prevalent problem clinically at high altitude of 3000m or more. There is a lack of united agreement on definition, and nomenclature, and clinical classifition, and diagnostic criteria, for this disease so far in the world, which is tried to expound as a proposal in this paper. Mountain sickness is that of a kind of condition,in which, the human body of the victim can't compensate the main influences of high altitude on itself due to either unacclimatization or loss of acclimatization (or adaptation)to altitude hypoxia, and are ameliorated of disappeared on descending to lower altitude, it does not include those forms of disease seen in low altitade aggrvated by altitude hypoxia and being full in some mountain sickness color. Mountain sickess may be classifide in two main categories: 1. Acute mountain sickness (AMS). (1) Mild type: acute mountain sickness (AMS). (2) Severe type: A. acute high altitude pulmonary edema (AHAPE). b. Acute high altitude cerebral edema (AHACE) 2. Chronic mountain sicknessCMS). (1) Excessive polycythemia of bing altitude (EPHA, Monge's disease), a. Stage 1 pure excessive polycythemia of high altitude: btage2 complicated organ damage; c Stage 3 chronic congestive heart failure or/and other organ damags. (2) High altitude heart diseae (HAHD). (3) High altitude hypertention (HAH).(4) High ale hypotention (HAPO). 3. Others.
