Observation on the Contraceptive Effect of Subdermal Insertion of Norplant.

1523例使用Norplant皮下埋植剂避孕两年的监测资料显示:续用率为94.22%妇女,终止88例,终止率为5.78%妇女。其中因月经问题终止60例(68.18%);其它医学原因终止21例(23.86%),个人因素终止7例(7.85%)。3例计划妊娠者均在取出后7个月内妊娠,并分娩健康婴儿。使用Norplant皮下埋植剂避孕效果可靠,副反应小,可逆性高,今后若能对其引起的月经问题采取有效的防治措施,并使用生物降解性聚合物为载体,皮下埋植将是一种很有前途的长效避孕方法,尤其适用于使用IUD失败,对金属过敏及生殖器官畸形的育龄妇女。

This paper reported the result of two years contraceptive effect in 1523 cases of subdermal insertion of Norplant. The continuation rate was 94.22/100 women. The discontinuation rate was 5.78/100 women. Among 88 cases of discontinuation, 60 cases were due to menstrual disturfances(68.18%), 21(23.86%) cases due to other medical reasons and 7(7.85%) cases due to personal rea-sons. Three cases who plan to have pregnancy got pregnant 7 months after removal of Norplant and delivered normal babies. The contraceptive effect of Norplant is reliable; ad-versed effect is slight; insertion and removal is simple. If the problem of menstrual disturbances can be solved, subdermal implant will be a very promising long term contraceptive method, especially suitable for women who fail to use IUD, contraindicate to estrogen, or who have abnormal genital organs.
