顺应论是Verschueren提出的语用学研究理论,强调语言使用过程中的选择必须与语境相顺应。翻译也不例外。在《师傅越来越幽默》的英译本中,译者葛浩文选择顺应英语语境,即英语读者语言语境和交际语境,使译本在英语世界易于接受,获得大量好评。但同时,对中国的文化特色也存在一些误读和屏蔽。
