THE DISTRIBUTION AND APPLICATION ON ROOTS OF A CERTAIN SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTIC EQUATION

本文讨论了一类特征方程的根的分布,得到了与张建国(1986)完全类似的结论:即该方程有唯一的正实根,且异于正实根的其它根为模小于1的单根.

In this paper the distribution on roots of certain characteristic equation form of t^k-rl^(k-1)-(r/l)t^(k-2)-...-(r/l)t-r/l=0(l≥1, r>0) is discussed. We obtain the conclusions similar to those in reference 2. Above-mentioned equation has only the positive real root, and other roots different from the positive real root are the single root whose module is smaller than 1.
