Characteristics and Factors of the Modern Population Transitionin Changshu City of Jiangsu Province

本文以现代人口转变的界定标准论述常熟现代人口转变的过程及其特征,分析了这个转变迥异于世界发达国家和新兴工业化国家的原因。目前常熟人口与社会经济关系已步入良性循环阶段。

The paper reports the process and the characteristics of the modern population transition in Changshu by using the standarded limits of this transition. It analyses the reasons of this transition which are different from that of developed countries and newly industrial countries in the world. At present, the relationship between the population and the socioeconomics of Changshu is on the stage of benign circulation.
