摘要
Based on fieldd investigations and relevant literature, this paper expounds on the cause of the extremely heavy floods in the Taihu Lake region in 1991, compares the flood-hit areas of 1954 with those of 1991, summarizes the experience on flood control and presents some useful proposals.
