上海县近十年(1981～1990年)传染病发病率下降趋势。1990年全县传染病总发病率为314.6/10万,较1980年的1346.7/10万下降76.64％。白喉、脊髓灰质炎和破伤风已连续10年没有发生,1990年无麻疹和百日咳病例。但肠道传染病发病仍较高,1990年肠道传染病的病例数占总病例数的90.91％,病毒性肝炎的发病率为215.8/10万。
