Experiment of Embryo Transfer in Dairy Cattle through Vaginal Fornix

采用改造的日本产FHK奶牛胚胎移植器械,用长针头穿过奶牛阴道穹窿将胚胎注入子宫角。此法移植2头受体,2头妊娠产犊。这种方法在受体牛子宫颈特别细小、紧缩,胚胎移植管不能插入,不能进行非手术方法移植时可采用。较开腹的外科手术方法简便、快速和安全,亦可无数次地反复采用。

By using the improved FHK apparatus made in Japan for embryo transfer in dairy cattle,the embryos were transferred into the uterine gland of two cattle recipients through the vaginal fornix. Both of the recipients became pregnant and produced young calves. This method may be adopted when the uterine cervix of the recipient is too narrow and contracted too tightly so that the embryo transfer tube can not be inserted non-surgically through the cervix. Compared with surgical operation used for embryo transfer,the method adopted in this experiment is much more simple,quicker and safer, and can be adopted repeatedly.
