ASSESSMENT OF RELATIVE HUMAN HAZARD USING in vitro AND in vivo MUTAGENICITY TESTS

The report of the Canadian Advisory Committee on Mutagenesis(1986)entitled"Guidelines on the use of Mutagenicity in the ToxicologicalEvaluation of Chemicals"provides an integrated scheme for testing andevaluation of relative hazards that is applicable to all types of chemicals.Chemicals are assigned initially to one of three Levels of Concern(LOC) based on their potential for human exposure,and theirrelationship to mutagens or carcinogens.This report formed the
