SPUN HIGHLY LINEARLY BIREFRINGENT FIBRES FOR CURRENT SENSORS

摘要 Using coupled-mode theory, spun linearly birefringent fibres are studred. Highly ellip-tically birefringent fibres obtained by spinning highly linearly birefringent fibres are shown to be a suitable medium for detecting the Faraday effect when the spin ratio of the spun fibres is appropriately chosen. Experimental results for current measurement using such fibres confirm the theoretical predictions. Using coupled-mode theory, spun linearly birefringent fibres are studred.
