摘要
Using coupled-mode theory, spun linearly birefringent fibres are studred. Highly ellip-tically birefringent fibres obtained by spinning highly linearly birefringent fibres are shown to be a suitable medium for detecting the Faraday effect when the spin ratio of the spun fibres is appropriately chosen. Experimental results for current measurement using such fibres confirm the theoretical predictions.
