Ⅰ. INTRODUCTIONAlthough the mechanism of geomagnetic polarity reversal may be studied qualitatively based on the dynamo theory, it is drastically difficult to obtain analytic solution of inversion frequency from magnetohydrodynamic equations. The reason is that so far the true picture of fluid movement in the earth’s core is scarcely known. Based on the results of paleomagnetism, the inversion frequency was studied by using statistics theory.
