Ridging the slope land raises the ability of soil to intake rain water and maintain soil mois- ture. The practice is characterized by deepening the cultivated horizon and benefitting concentrat- ed fertilization. Plastic-film mulching possesses the functions of controlling water loss through surface evaporation, raising soil temperature, improving soil chemical characteristics and physical properties and killing weeds et ct. Combining the two practical measures will result in a revolution in agricultural production.
